 Profile

Hello, my  name is Linda Marquez. I was born in Michoacan, Mexico but my family and I moved to San Diego when I was a child and we have been living here ever since. I have three brothers, one older and two younger.

During the Fall of 2018, I was an intern at the Children's Center in the transition and preschool cottages.  Here I had the opportunity to work with several age groups both in their rooms and our outdoor classroom. The following semester I started working as a part-time teacher in the infant classroom where I learned a tremendous amount. I have also volunteered at an elementary school with children with disabilities and with Special Olympics at the YMCA.

Through my internships and volunteer work, I discovered how much I enjoy working with children and how much I can learn from them. After graduating from San Diego State University in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in Child and Family Development I was an interim master teacher in the Otters class and now a master teacher.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family but especially with my cousins. My cousins and I are always looking for something to do together whether it is watching a new movie or looking for a new design I can try when I do their nails.

I’m excited to learn and grow alongside your child as we build and strengthen our relationships.
