 Profile

Hola! I was born and raised in Long Beach. I moved to San Diego at the start of my high school years and truly believe it was the best decision my parents made for us. I love living in San Diego and now say I am from here when people ask me.

I graduated from San Diego State University in 2003 with a Bachelor’s in Child Development and Spanish. I went back to school to receive an EC-SEBRIS certificate (Early Childhood-Socio-Emotional Behavioral Regulation Intervention Specialist) in 2011 also from SDSU.

Since I was in elementary school, I always wanted to be a teacher that was my answer every time I was asked, "What do you want to do when you grow up." I have been doing the job that I love and being a teacher I think is very rewarding and it is never a dull moment.

I am the younger of two children and have a young nephew whom we all adore. When I am not at work, I love to dance which explains why I love going to the gym to do Zumba every chance I get! I enjoy spending time with my family and friends whether it is going to the movies, just hanging out or getting a bite to eat.
