 Profile

Hello!

My name is Gabby Prichett and I am a Master Teacher at the Children’s Center. I was born in Modesto, California but grew up primarily in San Diego. I graduated from high school in 2017 and went straight to community college. I am the second youngest of 6 children. And with that, I became an aunt at 8 years old and that is what started my love for children.

Other than looking after my nephews, my high school was the first place I was exposed to the child care setting. I took a few classes there where I was one on one in the daycare, caring for the children 2 hours out of the school day. I also worked at a nonprofit for two years where I helped conduct supervised visitation and exchanges with children and their parents who were going through the court system. That work experience exposed me to the hardships children go through and I knew I wanted to move forward in a career in child care. I landed a job at a Reggio Emilia inspired Preschool in 2020 and I fell in love with Early Childhood Education. While working there, I was accepted into Point Loma Nazarene University’s Child Development Program. I obtained my Bachelors in Child Development December of 2021.

My goal as a Master Teacher is to foster a nurturing and inspiring relationship with each child by providing an environment that is safe, reliable and explorative. I hope to lay the foundation for a lifetime love of learning.

I am beyond excited to get to know each and every one of you!
